Teaching While Still Learning the Work

Concurrent with my role at BT, I designed and delivered the IT Service Management module at De Montfort University, ITIL-aligned, built from real operational practice rather than theory alone.

Eight of eleven students achieved first-time ITIL v3 certification success, a genuinely strong pass rate for a first-time module design.

Teaching while still working full-time in the field it taught meant the material had to be honest about what actually happens in practice, not just what the textbook says should happen.
